So why this lexicon? Descent, Ascent, Rebirth?
Because I have become a student of the rhythm of cycles. Every single thread I've been pulling for the last five years mimics the feminine and the natural cycles of our lives.
Did you know that a woman's menstrual cycle mimics not only the moon cycle but also our four seasons?
It begins with an ascent. Rebirth. Spring. The follicular phase. The expansion and the first sliver of the crescent moon rising after the dark new moon.
Then Summer. Ovulation. Full bloom. The peak expression of the full moon.
Then Fall. Contraction. The luteal phase and the descent back toward darkness.
Then Winter. The shedding. The bleed. Where we meet the moon in darkness again. A fertile void.
Most women initiate here, with cycle syncing. And it typically awakens something larger. A more full comprehension of the difference between masculine and feminine energy.
The masculine runs on a 24 hour rhythm. Steady. Solar. Structured. Predictable. The circadian rhythm.
The feminine runs on an infradian rhythm nested within the circadian and solar rhythm.
That means something in a world that operates on a masculine schedule all month and all year long.
The pendulum is swinging. Women especially are finding their way within the paradox. Within the laws of the universe, the goal is balance. Within and without.
Many spiritual communities are claiming the feminine has been lost and forgotten. But I am beginning to see it differently.
Patterns have always been my first language. The substrate. The undercurrents. What's already gold and what's still lead waiting to alchemize.
I knew in my business that we had an eight year cycle. I'd felt it three times over the 21 years I've been in retail. I couldn't name it until this time. When I finally said it out loud to my husband, he said "Yeah, the business cycle is 7 to 10 years."
I was shooketh. And then I looked it up. It's called the Juglar Cycle. And you will never guess what I learned.
It has four phases. Expansion, Peak, Contraction, and Trough. Sound familiar?
We may have forgotten the feminine, but she has never forgotten us.
The current business system operates almost exclusively in the masculine. A perpetual summer. Or so we are programmed to believe. According to business cycles like the Juglar Cycle, winter always comes, just like with the seasons. When the dark moon comes, we accept its arrival as part of the natural order. When winter shows up in our businesses we lose ourselves in a conditioning that we have failed.
But what if winter is just winter?
What if contraction isn't collapse, it's the cycle doing exactly what it's supposed to do?
That's what the last few years taught me. In the warehouse. On the floor. In the silence after I pulled the launch. It was a contraction towards a rebirth.
The symbiotic energy field around me reorganizing and recalibrating. But not through a manifestion practice of gripping and forcing what might not be in actual alignment.
Instead from a place of stillness and listening. A place where I was able to feel the way the river wanted to go and I let it carry me.
That's the work I'm here to do with you.
Enter my Mentoring Arc...
